Yoga Teacher Training Dates:

There are 6 separate modules that make up the 200 hours of the teacher training.
Four weekends:  Include a Thursday and a Friday NIGHT and then all day Saturday and Sunday.
There are 2 Long Weeks that run from Monday through Sunday and every day is approx. 9:00 - 5:00. 

Yoga Jane Training is a 200 Hour Yoga Alliance Registered School

You can assume all modules will contain Asana and Pranayama and Teaching Practice.

PLEASE NOTE: This is in no way a complete list of everything that will be covered in every module and is all subject to change. Also there may be several more books added, and I will let you know about those well in advance before a module begins.

 

August 11th - 17th Week Long # 1 (Monday - Sunday)

- Blood Flow/circulation in different poses

October 30th - November 2nd Weekend # 4 (Thursday - Sunday) I am giving everyone off on Friday for Halloween and adding a couple extra hours onto other days.

        Books Required:

  • Hatha Pradipika

 

-How to teach chair yoga

-Qualities of the Breath (Puraka,rechaka,kumbhaka)

-Partner Yoga

November 24th - 30th Week Long # 2 (Pre-Req is week long # 1) Don’t Worry, Thanksgiving Day we will not be in class! There will be extra hours added onto the other days. I thought this was a good week since a lot of people get off the days before Thanksgiving and the days after it. Many of you will graduate after this module.

*** If need be I may have one make up day the following Monday at an extra cost to be determined.***

A 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training course is now being offered at the YOU! Health Center.
·         The course will consist of 6 modules. There will be 2 week longs and 4 long weekends. Participants can take the entire 200 hour course at their own pace. The weekends are always a Thursday and Friday NIGHT so you can still work during the day.
 
·         Upon completion of the first weeklong, a certificate to begin teaching a beginner level yoga class will be given.  
 
·         The first weeklong will cover:
 
-       Teaching Methodology
Yoga Postures (benefits and contraindications)
Daily Asana Practice
Philosophy
Breathing practices
Anatomy and physiology as applied to yoga
Meditation and relaxation
 
-       Written and Practical Testing
 
·         Week Long # 1
o   August 11th - August 17th  ( Monday – Sunday)
Times may change but will be approximately 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
 
What makes this course different from others yoga teacher trainings?
*Cost is only $300 for the first weeklong. This will cost you less than $9/hr!
* Sign up soon! If you sign up 2 weeks or less prior to the 1st day of course the price goes up to $350.
*To improve teaching skills or get questions answered, a limited number of participants can retake any module for free.
*I am very flexible and accommodating. If there is a day or a few hours that you know you will have to miss, you can schedule a make- up day for a very low price.
