Chair Yoga/wheel chair yoga Chair yoga is as it is stated. Chair yoga is great way to learn yoga when you are incapable of practicing on a mat. Corporate Yoga means I will come to your office and teach you and your coworkers how to destress, focus your minds, and stretch your bodies. No flexibility is required! No chanting! Nothing weird at all! I promise. Call me to schedule some classes. Prana in Sanskrit means breath or life force. Ayama means control. Pranayama is then the control of the breath. This is great for those with breathing difficulties, too much stress, insomnia, and all others wishing to learn the art of breathing. Yoga therapy If you have had a reoccurring injury, yoga therapy may be for you. Please ask your doctor first. No surgery within 6 months please. Yoga therapy is an effective way of dealing with a specific physical condition. Power Yoga Power yoga is for the athlete. If you are a professional athlete, training to compete, or just a really athletic person, power yoga is a beautiful complement to your regular work out. Yoga for stress relief Yoga for stress relief is for those who deal with a lot of stress, anxiety, and tension. This type of class implements specific yoga poses that will help un-do stress, allow for a better night’s sleep, and help bring back feelings of joy and well being. Yoga relaxation Yoga relaxation is done lying down. The way I do it has been compared to hypnosis. You simply must experience this to understand its profound effects. Yoga for weight loss Yoga for weight loss uses poses in a gentle way to target areas with excess skin and fat. Children’s Yoga Children’s yoga is great for play dates! I attended my first yoga class when I was 11 years old. It was an adult class, and my attention span only lasted 45 minutes. Children’s yoga is similar to adult yoga except with a playful attitude. One to Five Children 7+ and older please. Classes are only 40 minutes. (6 week packages available, please email me for more) Pre-natal Yoga Pre-natal yoga is a great way to stay home and healthy while your pregnant. Yoga for your joints Yoga for your joints is great for those with arthritis, or with joint problems. I use a special joint freeing series that I learned from Mukunda Stiles, author of, “Structural Yoga Therapy”. I practice this series myself almost every day. Because my fiancé and many of my friends are musicians, I have created a special series of yoga poses that is just for musicians. The sequences of poses I have created are sure to aide your performance. (I am also available for short tours and festival appearances) Yoga for Children with Learning Disabilities I have designed yoga poses that work very well with children who have a learning disability. Yoga can be especially very beneficial for children who have add/adhd, autism, Soto’s and some other learning disabilities that affect attention. Yoga For Depression Several studies have been done with those who suffer with depression. One of the reasons I started practicing yoga was because of depression accompanied with severe PMS symptoms. I know for a fact a regular, individualized yoga plan will alleviate or lessen symptoms of depression.
